Un-zip your registered version of the Janim file, you will find a lot of different
ideas and a list of all of the parameters in there.
Now let's have some fun with this applet...J
Copy and paste the Janim3.class file, along with the images you
are going to use in the same directory.
Don't forget to save your HTML in there too, so the applet will work.
This is the only picture I will use to make this snow/lake combo, and I have
re-sized and cropped it, so it's ready to use just like it is. Width is 330 height is 200 pixels.
You can download the original photo-graphic here.
Here is the Applet code:
Remember, this code will NOT work unless you have paid the registration fee.
<applet code="Janim3.class" archive="Janim.jar" width=330 height=340>
<param name="image" value="deer.jpg">
<param name="snow" value="1">
<param name="intensity" value="130">
<param name="wspeed" value="20">
</applet>
With this photo, I multiplied the original height of 200 by 1.7 this equals
340 which is the height I need to use in the applet code.
The "intensity" parameter is for the falling snow. Play with the numbers, to please yourself.
Or you can leave this parameter out and the applet will use the default value of 50 for the snowfall.
I also added the "wspeed" parameter, to slow the wave action of the lake.
Again, you can leave this parameter out and let the applet use the default value of 40.
*YOU have total control as to how your applet reacts and appears*
Here is my Snow/Lake Applet working, with the parameters I used.
Scroll on down and let's have some fun with it!
Now, I want to show you something really nice, so make a plain image the exact same size as the applet.
Width 330 height 340. You can add a message, or add clip art.
Save it as a .jpg or .gif, it doesn't matter, this Applet will support both file extensions.
Here is mine:
I will add another parameter to my code:
<param name="imagea" value="plain_image.jpg">
Scroll back to the applet and click on it! Yes, you can click back and forth, switching from the
running applet to the image behind it.
Read about it HERE try the "free" version,
but I know you will like it so well you won't
be able to resist the small cost of $12.99 to register it and have the most versatile lake
applet written in a long, long time.
